Surplus Quality/Grading
Surplus is graded using 3 specific criteria.
Fabric Quality (holes, tears, staining, discoloration)
Missing Components (snaps. buckles, zippers, etc)
Damaged Components (snaps. buckles, zippers, etc)
Surplus is organized into 4 categories: New, Grade 1, Grade 2, and Damaged.
New
Items marked as New were verified to have never been used before, most items marked as New are either still in their packaging or still retain their manufacturer's tags.
Grade 1
Items marked as Grade 1 are essentially items in excellent condition we couldn't verify were New, they may have scuffs and marks as all surplus does, but aside from that, they're good to go.
Grade 2
Items marked as Grade 2 will show obvious signs of usage and may be dusty/dirty and slightly discolored along with having small abrasions. Every component is still in usable condition and works as intended.
Damaged
Items marked as Damaged could be very dusty and dirty and/or have missing components, heavy discoloration, tears, and broken pieces.
